In Red Wings Land
Youth movement among 10 things to watch at Red Wings camp | MLive
Top story lines for a unique Red Wings training camp | Detroit News
Two-for-one special today.
Both Khan(!) and TEd give 10 story lines to pay attention to during Red Wings training camp. They both touch on similar topics in their articles. The two stories that stand out the most to me are — as alluded to in one of the headlines — the young kids vying for a roster spot on opening night and the absence of Henrik Zetterberg due to his LTIRetirement.
I want to see Michael Rasmussen in a top nine role and Filip Zadina on the top line when the Wings open the season. With Zetterberg’s spot in the lineup now available, it’s entirely possible we will see that. Both guys can should challenge for power play time too.
It will also be interesting to see which younger guys step up into a leadership role. We know Niklas Kronwall is still there to guide the kids, but will we see more from Dylan Larkin, Anthony Mantha and Andreas Athanasiou? This is their team now.

Jalen Ramsey hints at NHL collaboration after saying he could make league in six months | CBS Sports

Jalen Ramsey is great and if he does any kind of collaboration with the NHL it can only be a good thing. It will mean more eyes on the game of hockey. All the NHL players who spoke out against Ramsey should stop being babies and embrace this.
