I wanted news about Lyon, after he left Saturday’s game early, but, alas, nothing yet so goalie-switcheroo time and here’s your Trey Augustine update. Augustine has looked good starting for MSU and sports a .916 SV% on the year so far. It helps to have a good team in front of him, but that should help ease his development and maybe even bring him along quicker than throwing him to the wolves on a bad team. I don’t mean to insinuate that we’ll see him in Grand Rapids next season, but hopefully he progresses well and we can have a solid tandem of Cossa and Augustine (in whichever order) sooner rather than later.
