Red Wings Rumblings
Patrick Kane is expected to get some ice time this week according to Lalonde. He’s been out for almost two weeks with a lower-body injury, though the team has said this injury is not related to his hip. I wouldn’t expect 88 back until after the All-Star break.
Meanwhile, here are some highlights from last night’s loss against Dallas:

Players on Leave
Yesterday, we learned that Flyers starting goaltender Carter Hart is taking a leave of absence for “personal reasons.” No other information was provided.
This comes on the heels of Flames forward Dillon Dube taking a leave of indefinite leave of absence, though the team disclosed that this was for mental health reasons.
There has been a lot of chatter on social media about both moves. You may recall that both Dube and Hart were part of the 2018 WJC Team Canada roster that is under investigation for sexual assault. The NHL world has been waiting for the hammer to fall in this probe, which will likely result in criminal charges.
I am not drawing any conclusions and until we get more information, this could likely be a coincidence. Something to keep a close eye on in the days and weeks ahead.
