The Wings had to kill two penalties in the first period and didn’t take play to the Predators, coming out with a 0-0 tie after one.
Ericsson, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Nyquist, Andersson, and Tootoo are carrying the standard right now. Franzen is playing decently, as are Kronwall and Smith.
Filppula might be the Wings’ worst forward on the ice so far. On the blue line, Colaiacovo looks less-than-stellar.
