Hope you’re enjoying your football Sunday, everyone! We have hockey tonight as the Red Wings are set to take on the Blackhawks in more preseason action. There wasn’t a morning skate today, so we can only assume that lines will be similar to when they played Boston on September 28th:
Athanasiou – Larkin – Mantha
Miller – Glendening – Ott
Bertuzzi – Criscuolo – Frk
Sadowy – Nosek – Nastasiuk
DeKeyser – Smith
Ouellet – Sproul
Lashoff – Russo
Mrazek with the start in net
In the 5-1 win the Red Wings had over the Bruins with this lineup, the second line lit it up, and we saw some brilliant play from the top line. Steve Ott had three points, so if that happens again then you can expect him to be the first-line center in no time! Chicago is running their B-team tonight, here’s a look at the roster, per Mark Lazerus:

What to watch
I think everyone is still very-much fixated on the top line due to it’s immense skill and speed. Outside of that, I am going to have my eyes on players like Martin Frk, who will likely make the team due to his waiver status. I’m looking for him to make an impact somehow. Other names to keep an eye on are Xavier Ouellet and Ryan Sproul — Two players who are battling for the 7th defensive spot.
How to watch
This game will be joined in progress on NHL Network, so if you have access to that, you’ll at least get to see SOME of the game. If you don’t have access to NHLN, you’ll have to utilize other means of streaming. The game should be available on WWJ-AM 950 for your listening pleasure.
