In Red Wings Land
Detroit Red Wings prospects are producing in preseason. Why it matters | Freep
To that end, it’s encouraging how much production has come from prospects: Michael Rasmussen has two goals and an assist, Dennis Cholowski has a goal and two assists, Filip Zadina has a goal and an assist, Libor Sulak has two assists, Evgeny Svechnikov has two goals, Joe Veleno has two assists, and Filip Hronek has an assist.
This is good.
I know, I know… it’s only preseason. I don’t care though because it’s fun to see young, new faces produce. They’re not all going to make the roster, we know that, but it doesn’t stop me from getting excited that they’re making the most of their preseason opportunities. On top of that, it’s important for the players to produce and continue to grow against some NHL-level competition. Confidence can go a long way.
