Well Fuuuuuuuuu. Gustav Nyquist has joined the injured list and will not play tonight because of a sore groin. Goose said his groin was sore during the last game, but he doesn’t need any tests or scans and sitting out is just precautionary. Nyquist is listed as day to day, but groin injuries typically last 7-10 days… unless your name is Stephen Weiss.
The Wings are without 4 of their regular top 6 forwards, and 6 top 6 guys if you count Helm and Abby. At this point all the injuries (particularly the groin injuries) just seem like a cruel joke that can’t possibly be real. it has to eventually end sometime, I just hope it’s soon. The bright side of having so many injuries, is that we’re getting a chance to see kids like Jurco and Sheahan, and they’re getting experience that will benefit them in the near future.
