The Red Wings lines in the Morning Skate still stand, and Gustavsson will indeed start tonight.
Jonas Gustavsson makes his third start in a row in goal tonight for Wings at Colorado, giving Jimmy Howard a couple more days to heal hand.

Also, here’s something to look forward to before the game tonight.
Chris Osgood & Patrick Roy sat down 2day to talk the rivalry days & who won the fight. See their convo #RedWings Live at 830 @FOXSportsDet

I don’t care how many times Patrick Roy says the rivalry is dead, it’s always rekindled in fans hearts and minds every time the Waaaavalanch and the Wings face each other.
You know, it’s really refreshing to see a team playing 3 highly skilled, clean, gentlemanly players on their top line who have never been suspended 20 games for leaving his feet to deliver a deliberate and dangerous hit to the head, or suspended 20 games in juniors for slashing a referee, nor has had countless dirty hits and questionable altercations since then. I mean, that name redacted guy the Wings have on their top line is such a monster. That one bad thing he did 10 years ago is definitely grounds to crucify him at every opportunity, despite the fact that he’s been clean since then. It’s nice to know that there a team in the NHL who doesn’t employ such a despicable player and has the moral high ground.
