Here’s the bad news – the Red Wings sports are bad. Here’s the good news, the Blues are also struggling. They’ve played 11 of the last 15 on the road and lost 4 of their last 5. However, the Blues woes may be solved by playing in their home arena while our Wings are searching for some positive energy. Something. Anything. Too Much Man penalty with 7 guys on the ice made it very clear the Wings were scrambling to get themselves in order. A lights-out goaltending performance would be a great place to start because the Blues aren’t lacking for SOG.
Some news out of St. Louis yesterday was that Vrana is being waived, but then they didn’t and put him on the trade block. In any case, he won’t be in the lineup tonight. The Wings have Larkin, Kostin, and Compher on IR and Perron was suspended. The game last night was uninspiring, any one of those four can be game-changers by themselves, so to lose them all is a blow. That’s all I’ll say on the matter or we’ll be here all day.
