Game Day Updates: Wings vs. Canadiens

Credit: David Kirouac-USA TODAY Sports

Bonjour, wingnuts and beyond! The Detroit Red Wings come into tonight having won four of the past five games. The last time we saw the Montreal Canadiens, it was a hard-fought point but an OT loss at home ice. The Wings will look for some revenge tonight in Montreal and continue the push for a playoff berth.

Game Notes

  • Welcome Back, Cap: Dylan Larkin is expected to return tonight. He missed a couple of games after he and his wife Kenzy lost their baby. Happy he’s back, and we hope that the team can give him a win tonight. All love, cap. We’re thinking about you.
  • HUUUUUSS: Husso is your starter with Alex Lyon as his backup.
  • Familiar Faces: Gustav Lindstrom, remember him? He’s in the lineup for Montreal and we expect Jeff Petry suit up and soak in his first game back in Montreal since the trade.
  • Detroit is 4-4-1 on the road this season.
