Game Day Updates: Wings vs Sharks

Early December is the gift that keeps on giving for the Red Wings’ schedule. Since the Sweden trip, our boys have won 6 of 7 games played and have a string of games against teams lower in the standings. Currently sitting at 3rd in the Atlantic (thanks to the Panthers beating the Stars last night), now is a great time to bank points. And there’s no better time to bank points than when you’re playing the team with the lowest points percentage in the league (SJS .308%).

Game Time: 7:00pm at The Pizza Palace

How To Watch: BSDET, NBCSCA, 97.1 The Ticket

Scout The Enemy: Fear The Fin

Expected Roster:

Yep, you read #88 correctly…

Keys To The Game

Sharks Don’t Sleep. And we shouldn’t sleep on this team. They’ve won 2 of their last 3 games and 4 of their last 6, including a 6-5 loss to the East-leading Rangers and a win over Vancouver. They aren’t playing like they’re the historically bad team we saw at the start of the season, and we would be dumb to treat this game like a gimme.

It’s Showtime.

Yes, it’s Patrick Kane’s Red Wings debut. A lot of us have feelings about that, both good and bad. Regardless of how we as fans feel about the player, we still (mostly) need and want the TEAM to do well. With that in mind, PK88 needs to have a short leash tonight. If he’s looking like an undead con-man out there, he needs to sit. This team’s aspirations are growing, and we’re not going to abide another weak link.

We’re Gonna Need A Bigger Boat. The Wings are 14-0-2 when they score 4 or more goals this season. Keep the lines humming, keep up the pressure, and get guys on the scoring boat.
