[Game Thread] Gm 4: Wings @ Ducks

Ducks lead series 2-1

Where to start. Well, if you’re on this page you know what happened in Game 3. I’m not going to go into all that much detail about Game 3 and we’ll just get things going for Game 4.

How can Detroit come off a game in which they tied it in the last minutes, only to have that tying goal taken away? Hopefully (if you’re a Wings fan at least) they’ll come out strong and with great intensity offensively to put Hiller on his heels early. It will be interesting to see how Babcock deals with Game 4 after announcing no line-up changes, surprising with Draper and Rafalski out.

What to look for: How will Detroit respond in Game 4? Will they come out with a renewed intensity or play the game like a sunken ship. Its time for Marian Hossa and Pavel Datsyuk to step up and score like they did in the regular season. Datsyuk has been a non-factor in this series (except for faceoffs) and is the driving force for the Wings offense. From Anaheim, look for them to keep doing what they’re doing. The Niedermeyer brothers, Chris Pronger, Ryan Getzlaf, and Corey Perry are all keeping the Red Wings in check defensively while putting the puck in the net or helping out offensively.

Game 4 starts at 10:30 p.m. ET (ugh) and is aired on Versus.
