Devils Blogs: In Lou We Trust

Welcome to the last Red Wings game of 2014. Tonight they take on the New Jersey Devils. Devils as they are, it’s only apt that they would currently be lead by a three-headed beast, as Lou Lamoriello, Scott Stevens, and Adam Oates are all the coach. If I had to guess, I’d say Lamoriello is chewing on Judas while Stevens got Brutus and Oates has Cassius.

The Wings get a chance to show how pissed off they are about losing to a pissed off team on Monday. The Devils are coming off a good performance where they beat the Penguins 3-1, but have had an altogether rough stretch since the last time these two teams met. New Jersey is without a whole host of injured players while Detroit is only without Jakub Kindl and Jonas Gustavsson. I think New Jersey’s low-event style is a good matchup for the Red Wings, but Jaromir Jagr is always a pain in the ass to play against.

Let’s see if the Wings can pull their collective heads out of the 9th circle
