Happy Saturday, Wings fans. Sleep well? I know I did.

Central 2/3 Semifinals – Game 2: Chicago Blackhawks at St. Louis Blues – 3:00pm
(St. Louis Leads 1-0)

Television: NBC, CBC, RDS

Chicago – Second City Hockey
St. Louis – St. Louis Game Time

The Matchup

The Blues took game 1 of this series in triple overtime just two nights ago, so both teams should be fresh-as-daisies. Both teams have plenty of things to be worried about after the uggo performance that was game 1. Ryan Miller forgot how to goalie for an entire period and the Hawks could neither hold nor extend a lead. I honestly have no idea what to expect from this game, but I’m going to predict that 80% of the scoring in this game happens in the first period.

Metropolitan Division 1/4 Semifinals – Game 2: Columbus Blue Jackets at Pittsburgh Penguins – 7:00pm
(Penguins Lead 1-0)

Television: NBCSN, CBC, RDS, ROOT, FS-O

Columbus – The Cannon
Pittsburgh – Pensburgh

The Matchup

The Jackets blew a two-goal lead in game one thanks to shaky goaltending from Sergei Bobrovsky. They’re not a good enough team to get away with doing shit like that. The Jackets will get another chance to steal a game from Pittsburgh tonight. They’re going to need to get into Fleury’s head and Bobrovsky is going to have to remember his Vezina form.

Central Division 1/4 Semifinals – Game 2: Minnesota Wild at Colorado Avalanche – 9:30pm
(Colorado Leads 1-0)

Television: NBCSN, TSN, RDS, FS-N, ALT

Minnesota – Hockey Wilderness
Colorado – Mile High Hockey

The Matchup

The Wild also blew a two-goal lead on their way to dropping game 1 of their series. Mike Yeo’s squad was 14 seconds shy of winning the game when they let Paul Stastny tied it. The good news was that they were nice enough not to stretch their loss out over multiple OTs, as Tyson Barrie went bowling for defensemen and made space for Stastny’s game-winner. I hope they do better than that tonight.
