The Penguins are icing a dress-rehearsal roster tonight for their final preseason game (which is nice; I wish the Wings didn’t have two more of these things after tonight). They’ve got their top two pairs going and Crosby is finally in one of these things. Malkin remains out with a mystery ailment and he’s not expected to be ready by the time the season starts anyway.
Detroit is icing about a half-NHL squad tonight, including Kronwall, Franzen, and Zetterberg. No Ericsson still, who’s battling a hip flexor/Groin thing. Among the guys fighting to stay off the waiver wire, Kevin Porter Andrej Nestrasil, Landon Ferraro, Mitch Callahan, and Luke Glendening will be playing tonight.
Here are the rosters as tweeted by Helene St. James this morning.
