Red Wings mulling sending Tomas Jurco to Grand Rapids | Detroit Free Press
I would rather have Jurco in the lineup than Nestrasil or Dan Cleary, but, if the Wings are going to scratch him, I would rather have him playing with the Griffins than sitting in the press box with the Wings.

No salary cap increase for NHL next season? | Puck Daddy
Considering that the Canadian dollar's value has been declining when compared to the U.S. dollar, this is not a major surprise. But, this could make for an interesting offseason in 2015. A few teams (Chicago, for instance) will have to move players just to stay cap compliant, and many others will not be able to re-sign their own players or sign UFA's. The Connor McDavid-Jack Eichel sweepstakes | USA Today
The Sabres and Hurricanes are my top picks to finish in the bottom of the league this season. The Blue Jackets, Stars, and Avalanche are all too good teams to maintain their current poor form. They may end up missing the playoffs, but, they will not finish low enough to draft McDavid or Eichel.
