I would not mind if the NHL went the route of European football clubs, with one sponsor on the jersey (i.e. Chevrolet and Manchester United). As long as the NHL does not go as far as some of the European hockey leagues have gone, I am perfectly fine with a little advertisement on the jerseys.

Another lawsuit has been filed against the NHL. This one was filed by Sasha Pokulok, who was drafted 14th overall by the Capitals in 2005, and by Simon Danis-Pepin, who was drafted in the second round by the Blackhawks in 2006.

There is not a large enough core fan base to help finance the team.
