DISCUSSION: Feed the Mule. As Johan Franzen goes, so do the Red Wings. When he doesn’t register a point, the Red Wings are winless. Franzen is currently on pace for a career high 43 goals and 86 points (current high is 34 goals and 59 points in 2008-09). Can the Mule keep this up? And even if the assists or points aren’t there, at his near $4M cap hit, does he need to hit 40 goals to justify his salary and position on this club? What do you think his final numbers are at the end of the regular season?
