Red Wings assign forward Stephen Weiss to Grand Rapids for conditioning stint | MLive.com
I was not expecting this, but, it makes a lot of sense. Weiss needs to play in actual hockey games, plain and simple. The AHL may not be the NHL, but, it is better than simply practicing.

Red Wings’ Andrej Nestrasil ‘a work in progress’ who’s trying to parlay skills and size into offense | MLive.com

He played in a total of 12 games for the Griffins, but, that was the end of his North American adventure.
