Lightning sign Yzerman to four-year extension - Sportsnet.ca
To the people who think Yzerman is snubbing the Wings, there are two reasons why he is not. Professionalism and Ken Holland. Yzerman obviously wants to be a GM, that's why he left Detroit in the first place. As long as Holland remains our GM, which I expect and hope he will be for the foreseeable future, Yzerman will not return to Detroit.

NHL ‘not worried about tanking for McDavid and Eichel,’ says Buffalo GM | ProHockeyTalk
Of course he doesn't need to worry. The Sabres will be so bad next season that Connor McDavid will practically fall into their hands. Unless Edmonton gets him, which would be hilarious.

Josh Ho-Sang was expected to be drafted in the first round of the upcoming NHL draft. I doubt that this changes anything.

AP: Alabama athletic revenues more than any NHL team's - CBSSports.com
This is crazy. It really is. On a sidenote, I don't think that student-athletes should be allowed to unionize. Simply because they are student-athletes, keyword being student. They get enough compensation from the full-ride scholarships, attention, and free gear that they receive.

Devils Head Coach Peter DeBoer Deserves To Win the Jack Adams Award | The Hockey Writers
I understand what the argument is here, but if DeBoer deserves to win the Jack Adams, so does Babcock. The difference between the two? Outside of brains, Babcock will end up making the playoffs while DeBoer will not.

The NHL's Sunbelt Franchises: Why the Hate? Part 2 - Litter Box Cats
Interesting article and topic. I have to admit, I bash on Panthers' fans all of the time, mostly because there are roughly two that exist. The reason why Northerners and Canadians tend to hate the Southern teams so much is that those teams were a product of teams leaving Canada. You can understand why people are mad that there is not a team in Quebec City but there is a team in Arizona, two in Florida, a team in Texas, and a team in North Carolina.
