A good writeup from the WHL perspective on getting Rasmussen back after a good preseason showing including quotes from the player about his outlook and what “homework” the team gave him to work on this season with Tri-City. Here’s a good quote from him that indicates he’s absolutely the kind of kid who “gets it”:
“I think every day, whether it is practice or a game, you need to be competing, you need to be getting better,” he said. “You see guys who have been in the (NHL) for 10 years do that. Overall, they have a good group there and I was happy to be a part of that.”

Jaromir Jagr was drafted the same year Keith Tkachuk was and now he’ll be on a team with that guy’s kid. Amazingly the first time in his [forever]-year career that he’s played for a Canadian team. Screw it, give Calgary the cup right now.
