Americans’ Michael Rasmussen added to WJC Development Camp Roster – WHL Network
The Red Wings’ 1st round pick, Michael Rasmussen was added to Canada’s World Juniors Development Camp roster. Rasmussen has missed some time with a fractured wrist but hopes to crack Canada’s WJC roster. It’ll be another chance for Red Wings’ fans to examine Rasmussen’s game for themselves as well as the chance to see how he measures up against some of the players the Red Wings passed on to take him.

Markov won’t be back with Canadiens this season | NHL.com
In a surprising twist, the Canadiens, despite having ample amounts of money, decided to part ways with Andrei Markov. Markov, who has played his entire career for the Canadiens, was still an excellent defenseman last season despite turning 38-years-old. Markov says he’ll be returning to the KHL but did not rule out coming back to the NHL or even Montreal in the future. Let’s just say that this one’s a headscratcher for a team that needs defensemen.
