For those of you who missed the fireworks last night, Yzerman has trimmed the roster to 23 (including 3 goalies) and sent youngsters Edvinsson, Hanas, Söderblom, and Berggren to Grand Rapids as well as Danielson to Brandon. However… newly signed Zach Aston-Reese is currently listed as the 13th forward despite being waived yesterday afternoon. Once he clears later today (or gets claimed), we’ll have a spot open again in the forward corps – so for one of these kids, being cut may only be a paper transaction for one day. Does Berggren get called back, or Söderblom?

The detachable top just seems like bad news waiting to happen. The permanent reminder of the 9-goal performance in Game 5 also feels like asking the Hockey Gods to snake-bite your entire team. And you’re gonna go thru all that bedazzling and then not put any kind of glitz or glam on the inside when someone drunkenly loses their pendant-top? All this would be massively improved by replacing the Knights’ helmet with a winged wheel, in my purely unbiased opinion…
