The disappointment of the shootout loss to the Maple Leafs in the Winter Classic lives on, it wasn’t all bad for Jimmy Howard as he was named to the USA Olympic team headed to Sochi in just over a month. He will join Ryan Miller and Jonathan Quick as the goaltenders.

Thoughts, Americans? As a Canadian, that defense is very questionable. And no Bobby Ryan could really hurt a team that’s probably going to give up a ton of goals with that defense. They’ll be able to score, and they’ll be fast, but in a short tournament where a goalie can get hot, they could be out very quickly if they can’t generate offense.
