State of the Metropolitan: Offseason

Readers of this feature have been reveling in all corners of whatever’s left of that one weirdo’s social media network. Two divisions down, and, that’s right, two signings successfully forecast.

We’re taking a look, division-by-division, at where teams stand heading into the season, but noted that not every team may have their rosters set yet. After supposing that the Pius Suter Sweepstakes could soon end in the intro to the State of the Pacific, he shortly found a home in Vancouver. Last week, Alex Chiasson was the lucky yet-to-be-signed candidate featured, and he landed a pro tryout with Boston.

So, whether you’ve kept up with offseason wheelings and dealings or not, we’ll press on this week with the Metropolitan Division. This is obviously more relevant to Red Wings fans, both because we see these teams play Detroit more often, but also, if things go well, we could be looking at some Wild Card seeding races with some of the parties involved.

Let’s get right to it this time… and anoint Adam Erne as the next psychic premonition to see his free agency journey come to a close.
