For the second time in less than a week, the Nashville Predators and Detroit Red Wings square off in a meeting that could help the Wings solidify their hold on the division lead. As you may recall (but tried to block out), the Preds shut the Wings down 3-0 in their last meeting, and revenge will be on the minds of the Wing players. That game did not feature Pavel Datsyuk, who scored the first Detroit goal in over 2 games against the Rangers. Also, the Swedophiles out there will be glad to know that Tomas Holmstrom returns to the Wing lineup, ensuring that Pekka Rinne gets to find out what Homer had for his pre-game snack.
Puck drops at 7:30 EST, and we will be here, canes in hand and top hats a-blazing as the Wings look to remind the Preds that they are second-class citizens in the Central Division. Let’s class this mother up!
