With the Wings resting up their achy bones from playing in Carolina last night, the skate was of course optional, so we’re guessing the same lineup right now, but this is a cool reminder of what Hank achieved when he set up a play by a fittingly Datsyukian backcheck-and-steal which got Nyquist a goal:
Henrik Zetterberg collected the 605th assist of his NHL career (all w/ DET) to pass former teammate Pavel Datsyuk for sole possession of fifth place on the @DetroitRedWings all-time list. #NHLStats #DETvsCAR pic.twitter.com/MzofNqoGPe

At least John Keating is having fun!
Luck of the draw. Or the Keating luck. You come to work a game in South Florida hoping to see ocean vistas and sometimes this is the view out your hotel room. LOL pic.twitter.com/jd3NZrQnGB

Keys to the Game
D ||=||=||=||
It’s supposed to be a fence. Red Wings defenseman have been showing their scoring abilities as our forwards are slumping a bit (except in the shootout, dang Tatar). Daley’s had two goals and DeKeyser scored last night. And Superstar Totally Worth A First Rounder Mike Green showed off in the All Star game.
[surprised ‘ah’ noise] ||=||=||=||
Some of our forwards are taking a lot of shots while demonstrating how many places the puck can go besides in the back of the net. However, there are some guys heating up with Tatar’s disgusting filth shootout goal against the Sharks and Nyquist scoring on a nice gloveside snipe last night.
And Darren Helm, he came back from injury ready to rock and roll, he had two helpers last night and a beauty of a breakaway goal. He had some great chances against the Sharks that fell flat, but in Carolina it all went right.
Mantha and Larkin must be ready to start breaking chairs and strangling the air, they just can’t get a break. Maybe tonight’s the night!
More like GLOWERplay
It makes everyone mad, except the opposing team, and if I were the Panthers I would commit nonstop penalties. Perhaps instead of a powerplay they could make it up to us with a fruit bouquet? Or hit the blender and just start throwing random units together until something works. Someone give these guys a good shake so the pieces that make them score PPG fall back into place.
Except Larkin, you aren’t supposed to shake babies.
Let’s Go Red Wings!
