The Red Wings trimmed their preseason roster by 12 players, leaving them with 48 players currently.
None of the players released are surprises, as none of them were considered to have a chance to make the Red Wings.
The most notable names are forward Zach Nastasiuk and defenseman Dan Renouf.
I for one will miss Connor “Cookie” Crisp, but that’s the way the tryout crumbles. Here’s the press release from the team:
