Keys to the Game
Score Goals
This probably sounds a little cliché but the Red Wings are going to have to score goals tonight to win. Vegas has scored 232 goals on the season, good for 11th in the NHL. On their recent four game win streak they have scored less than 5 goals one time…and that was in the first win. Over their three games this week they scored six against Edmonton, seven on San Jose and five against Winnipeg. They are a good offensive team on a roll right now and if the Red Wings want to win their better have brought their scoring sticks tonight.
Solve Vegas’ Goaltending
In order to score those goals the Wings will need to figure out how to do it against one of the stingy defenses in the league. With just 203 goals against, good for seventh in the league, the Golden Knights do a very good job of limiting opportunities in their own end and the ones they do give up Fleury has be right there to bail them out on.
