Hey! Look at that! The Red Wings are back in the playoff picture after a big win over Buffalo at Little Caesars Arena on Saturday. That game snapped a seven-game losing streak for the Wings and hopefully gave the team the boost it needs right now.. Especially with Dylan Larkin’s return on the horizon.
Today is the second leg of a back-to-back for Detroit, and it’s another important opponent. The Pittsburgh Penguins were sellers at the trade deadline, and it’s been a pretty bad season in the Steel City. Despite that, the Pens hope they can finish the season strong and perhaps sneak into the playoffs.. Though, the chances of that happening are slim and none.
The Wings are 3-7-0 in their last 10, while the Penguins are 2-7-1. Needless to say, Detroit has an opportunity to gain some more ground from the Capitals and Islanders.
