Players Detroit Can Get in the Second Round With a Trade

SUNRISE, FLA — Detroit is without a 2nd round pick, but there are plenty of opportunities to make a trade happen. With so many names available still, it might be in the Red Wings‘ best interest to trade a prospect or roster player to acquire additional draft picks.

Here are some of the names available still:

  1. Oliver Kylington (D)
  2. Jeremy Roy (D)
  3. Ryan Pilon (D)
  4. Brandon Carlo (D)
  5. Daniel Sprong (F)
  6. Jeremy Bracco (F)
  7. Rasmus Andersson (D)
  8. Jansen Harkins (F)
  9. Thomas Novak (F)
  10. Sebastian Aho (D)

There are plenty of roster players who could be moved for a couple of picks. Players like Darren Helm, Xavier Ouellet, Brendan Smith, and Jakub Kindl could all be tentatively in one of these trades. We saw the New York Islanders trade Griffin Reinhart for the 16th and 33rd overall picks.

I will personally have my eye on Ken Holland and the Red Wings Draft table all day long, so stay tuned over at my Twitter handle, @KyleWIIM.
