Kimelman — Marco Rossi, C, Ottawa (OHL): Rossi plays bigger than his size (5-9, 183), with a feistiness and compete level that’s reminiscent of Philadelphia Flyers forward Claude Giroux. Rossi led all CHL players with 120 points (39 goals, 81 assists) in 56 games, willingly goes to the net to generate offense, and has a high hockey IQ that makes him a solid two-way player capable of killing penalties.

Tristan Jarry signed a three-year, $10.5 million contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday. It has an average annual value of $3.5 million

NHL.com says that the Rangers may not take Alexis Lareniere:

Lafreniere being selected No. 1 in 2020 NHL Draft by Rangers not definite
The New York Rangers won’t reveal who they will select with the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NHL Draft even though Rimouski forward Alexis Lafreniere is the consensus choice to be the first player chosen.

“On the first pick, tune in at 7 o’clock Tuesday and we’ll tell you exactly what we’re going to do,” Rangers general manager Jeff Gorton said Friday.

They’re going to select Alexis Lafreniere.
