Red Wings Griffins News

Hey, it’s a slow news day for the Wings-proper. There are some good tidbits about a few of the prospects in here though. This gem especially stood out to me:

”Last Saturday, Hirose tied Eric Tangradi (2015-18; 2019-20) for ninth on the Griffins’ all-time points list with 177…”

Does Tangradi deserve an asterisk for this stat, given that the only reason he accomplished it was due to him being duck-sized and there being 100 of him? Would he have set a higher mark if it was just one of him, regular human sized, but biologically a duck? Y’all are never gonna escape this.

Around The League

You mean… Red Wings Legend Mike Modano who played career game number 1,500 for his home-town team? THAT Mike Modano? Let’s collectively never forgive Babcock for that (among numerous other things).

All seriousness though, this is totally deserving. I understand things like this always take a little longer than they should when the player leaves town, but even with his… illustrious?… stint in Detroit, Modano is going to be forever connected with the Stars and should be one of the first names any Dallas fan thinks of when the think back on Stars hockey history (if not THE first name). Well done, Mike.
