Analyzing the pick
“Kids like this are the product of the north stars being moved to dallas.. he’s a big kid, missed some time.. Needs to work on his skating, but he can really score.”
-E.J. Hradek, NHLN
O’Reilly missed some time due to mono this season, but he’s got a lot of tools to be a potential scoring winger. He’s committed to the University of Denver next season, which is a big step into a competitive division of the NCAA. Wicked shot, plays with a physical edge. Will need to work on consistency, but that will come with more playing time.
