Happy Halloween, my little creepies! It’s the spookiest night of the year, and what could be more scary than watching two under-performing teams play hockey?!

Sigh.

Look, I was at the game last night. I watched it happen. I’m not sure what to say, other than it was pretty ugly. Anyways, today is a new day. The Red Wings did a decent job at out-possessing the Senators, but just couldn’t put the biscuit in the basket more, which at the end of the night, is what means more. This marks the fourth time the Wings are on a back-to-back in the month of October, and it’s rough considering the team is injured, and missing some key players. Thankfully, we won’t have another back-to-back for some time, and can believe that Pavel Datsyuk will be back within the next couple of weeks.

As of now, we can’t expect much change in the lineups besides in net. We know that Petr Mrazek will get the start. The Wings now stand 2-2-1 on the road, and are currently 6th in the division. Not good, but there’s plenty of room for improvements. I know we all want to jump on the panic horse, but it’s too early. Gotta believe they’ll bounce back and make adjustments. The power-play has been very lack-luster, given the players deployed. Let’s just go into tonight thinking that it’s a new day, and time to own the mistakes made before, fix them, and go out tonight guns a’blazing, and win this game in front of a hostile crowd. We can do it, I know we can.
