In Red Wings Land
NHL players who filed for arbitration by today's deadline: Matt Grzelcyk (BOS); Victor Olofsson/Sam Reinhart/Linus Ullmark (BUF); Andrew Mangiapane (CAL); Clark Bishop/Haydn Fleury/Warren Foegele/Gustav Forsling (CAR); Ryan Graves (COL); Tyler Bertuzzi (DET);

Bertuzzi filing for arbitration means he’s definitely not signing an offer sheet. The majority of these get resolved before hearings. We’ll keep an eye out on him and Mantha though.

Beyond the Canadian conference, Slap Shots has established one eight-team conference, one nine-team conference and another seven-team conference. It is probably not ideal, but here’s a preliminary look:
A: Rangers, Islanders, Devils, Boston, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Detroit.
B: Tampa Bay, Florida, Carolina, Nashville, Dallas, Washington, Philadelphia.
C: Los Angeles, Anaheim, San Jose, Vegas, Colorado, Arizona, St. Louis, Chicago, Minnesota.
It makes sense that if cross-border travel is severely restricted and they have to do an all-Canadian conference that this would take place. Honestly this makes sense for us. I don’t know. After the draft and free agency I just want to see Red Wings hockey again.
